Radar on M7 (SYD)
Spotted this morning on the M7 - 2 motorcycle police doing stationary radar at the Richmond Rd. exit northbound.

I've spent over 40 years of my life riding bikes .... the rest of it, I wasted ..
If it's got wheels or tits, it's gonna give you trouble !

Didn't see them this morning, but there was an unmarked white SS ute that I followed all the way from the GWH till he pulled someone over near Quakers Hill.

Re: Radar on M7 (SYD)

they made the NSW police stop using the radar gun in anything over 80km/hr after a copper got run over by a skidding car ont he F3. where they uses to be in between the north and southbound pulling in cars from the fastlane.

Re: Radar on M7 (SYD)
Not quite true, they are allowed to use their gun from the side of the road outside of their vehicle, they are not allowed to walk out in front of traffic in anything over 80km/h. In this situation there are two officers, one with the radar and one to chase so not breaking of any rules. Please note that this is union based OHS rule not a law, so it is still possible for them to do this and you have no leg to stand on.Wattie wrote:were they out of their cars/ off their bikes???

The motorcylce coppers are seen there at the Richmond Road exit on a semi regular basis, one Friday afternoon there were up to 8 bikes that I counted as part of a radar trap and they had 2 or 3 pulled over within a kilometre of the exit.
An undercover SS ute, I have to see that, as I don't believe that complies with their pursuit requirements

Re: Radar on M7 (SYD)
the last time i went on the m7 i saw a fully decked out hwp car pinging people from behind the centre lane concrete barrier. i think its the same spot you guys are talking about, sounds about right too.
Re: Radar on M7 (SYD)
Awesome work by the coppers "lets go and bust people on probably the safest road in the damn country - rather than slow hoons down on the great western hwy"....
