I was out for a ride yesterday and was shocked to see the black XR6 ute in front of me with tinted windows and mags put on his lights and pull a car over!
Very good tactics, I would have never seen that one coming!
Just wondering (either here in QLD or in the other states) what unmarked police vehicles you have seen or heard about. I guess the only ones that we don't have to watch out for now are the little 4 cylinders?

a member on another forum remembered seeing a toyota corolla sedan cop car i think... could be wrong....
usually things like mags and stickers are a sign of no cop car, but there are more and more stealth undercover cars.... best mate has even seen a fully lowered F6 typhoon, not only beating ricer boys but also boking them lol
dont know of many undercover cop bikes tho... except for seeing some post on here about one in victoria
I saw an unmarked Camry this morning. If the disco lights weren't on I'd never have picked it. They are using a lot of older cars and no recently issued plates. Still not as good as the pair I saw on Saturday though. One car, nondescript FalCamaDore parked at 90 degrees to the road with the radar pointed out the window ... and a UTE - Hilux/Bravo type parked beside him with his radar pointing over the bonnet of the car. All I could think of was the caption for the picture I should have taken ... "Cover me. I'm going in."
Cripes that really is scary. This guy eventually caught up with me (of course) and I was waiting to be pulled over for no good reason. He pulled up beside me at the lights and made a bit of noise trying to provoke a response, I could see enough through the windows to see the badges on his shirt etc.
BTW Daisy- it was a blue Camry that got me on Good Friday this year. He was a nice cop- let me off way lighter than I deserved!

i know ultimately you should drag race no-one... but still its like, if u didnt sit next to me like a wanker as if your car can beat my GSXR600, then i wouldnt have blown u off at the lights to show u what a wanker u are....
of course u could have lit it up but got off the gas at 60km/h and just sat there in 1st gear just to piss him off
Um the one that did me reciently was a bog stock old callis that was black with 2 occifers, really dark tinted windows, including the front & no arials Barstadge has a side kick in a little red barina Yep all 3 occifers in shorts & T shirt's ... yeah make my day carnts
If an unmarked car ie: hoon car, races u then books u, then they will be done for entrapment as they are no allowed BY law to encourage you to do the wrong thing.
I saw a late 90's hilux in dark blue driving around pulling everyone over!
Maybe QLD laws are different? Beautiful one day... twenty years behind the next....
It seems to be a tactic of theirs- the one that got me at Easter slowed down and motioned me to pass. Silly me....
Was kinda lucky yesterday tho, just had it at redline in 1st gear a minute before..... of course that was only 60km/hr.

This sounds like a case of "I've got a mate, who know's a mate who said....". Normally that person is a bogan who drives a full-shick Commodore!
There was a high court ruling in about 1995, or 1996 I think, which basically says that entrapment cannot be used as a form of defence. That particular ruling was in relation to a serious criminal offence and as such also applies to simple traffic offences.
Which is perfectly understandable Jason, as I have always been one who says - "If you decide to do the wrong thing you have to be prepared to pay the consequences." It is also one of the reasons why I didn't offer myself a defence the last time I got pulled up.
All I am trying to establish is how many different makes/ models and mods are out there now- it will enable me to know if there are ANY that I don't have to be cautious of! (So far the 1967 VW is looking safe! )
