Straight from the Mad Max II props section.....

Post by Gosling1 »

:lol:

well not quite...........I picked up a new toy last weekend. It came at the right price (as most of them do)......$0.00

A mate from work owed me a favour after I had given him some bits for his off-road racing buggy a few years ago.......and this is what he gave me ........! (not the kids, they are mine ! :lol: )

He was actually going to send this to the metal scrapyard, until he realised it had ' some sort of Kawasaki motor' in it - at whch point he rang me and said 'do you want it?'. Of course the answer was yes...

Its a z650 engine in the back. Was running fine until parked a few years ago, due to the gear-change mechanism shearing off. I will need to fix this first.

Apart from that, its all there - Mini rack-and-pinion steering, 4-point rally harness, rear disc brake, electric start etc.

Should be a heap of fun !! Looking forward to getting it going.

This will be a bit of a 'prelude' to the proper off-road buggy that is planned, using the GSX-R750 motor out of ProblemChilds hybrid track bike - that motor is just sitting under a bench at the moment, waiting for a transplant into a buggy.....

Looks like a great one for the kids Gos { motor may need a bit of de tuning first though!! }

I have a few quad parts including wheels n tyres that would probably be a bit more reliable and better for the bush than the 500 speedway tyres you got.

[Got some left over VN bits looking for a good home too!?]

Tip from personal experience - you chuck a big bad ass motor in a buggy make sure you have good long travel suspension and brakes on both front wheels plus rear axle!! No suspension = WAYYYYY scary ride and sore ass!! :shock: :shock:

Pretty sure the Piranha has better suspension than the sidewinder from memory but don't quote me!?

They are everything you need to build it plan wise and its the sidewinders bigger brother and also a PIRCV rear suspension(double wishbone instead of single) good for upto 1000cc motors
