the zipper

Post by binther »

hey everyone i know noone has heard so much as a boo from me but well i've been on the site nearly every day if not 2... just listening and learning and watching.. *makes spooky noises* anyway just a update on the zipper.

thanks to nannas mate (googsy) i now have a much more balanced bike... seems to be not as loud not as rough and very much so not as poppy :) wonderful for local streets when worried about the police officer living next door lol :) the bike seems to now have even power across mid to high range... it seems to have stablised in power.. i no longer have no power then a huge peak for the last 3 or 4k rpm... its more smooth... its just a nicer calmer bike to ride and i love it.

but enough of the nice stuff... so after spending 2 hours putting all the pretty pretty parts on the bike like my pallel work etc. i was starting to fret and worry.. 2 hours working on the bike and i havn't broken anything. but surprise surprise when taken the bike for a test ride... i left the front blinkers unplugged.. so yay i screwed up but only in a small way so tonight its a strip down plug in and dress up again... yay :) thanks to the nanna for the support and giving me the abilty to do this without panicing or worrying :)

thanks to googsy again for the balanacing, and well its 10 months owned now and has spent nearly 3 months on the road in that time :) thank god for trains :P

thats my rant :) have a good one everyone

well....... ITS BROKEN DOWN AGAIN *tear* got up this morning all happy that i have a road worthy and going bike again and ready to go to work... and the starter motor is stuck or something... after half a hour fiddling with it. nanna manages to make it go using the secret art of poking it till it went.... but now the damn thing is turning over and just not going... its got fuel its got spark its got air... dad even sprayed some starter helper thing in the air box and still no luck.

so if anyone has any ideas would really help alot.

check the plugs mate, you will be able to 100% see if there's enough (or too much) fuel in there. if you want to take plugs out and crank it over to pump extra out, just remember to remove power from the HT circuits.

yeah thanks for that... it seems that dad pulled out one of the plugs put it next to the metal body.. and there was spark when i tried to turn it over :( so no go there.... all things are leaning towards the carbys as they were the last thing to have work... and one of the rubbers need replacing... so getting carby from a spare bike and will test that
