Hmmm I was thinking a while ago of getting a Sachs 150 and racing it (yeah I know! ) anyway, seeing as I'd looked at them I thought I'd see what the new site has them for ....
First up a price check from bikepoint has it at $1999 Yup that's about right, plus ORC made it about $2400 8) ( a cheap race bike 'cos you don't need ORC) http://www.bikepoint.com.au/DesktopDefa ... TabID=3424
now for the You Beaut price from DiscountNewBikes ..... $7500  http://www.discountnewbikes.com.au/sach ... h08an.aspx
They might need to work on there pricing a bit before they get MY money! :?

Are you sure you are both talking about the same bike. The bike in the picture looks a fair bit more expensive that $1999. For that money wouldn't you be looking at that pushbike looking Sachs???

I tested it out on a ZRX1200 only to have Bike Biz call me up to try to get me into the shop to do a deal. They only offered rec retail plus on roads over the phone. I can't see how thats the best deal available.

That pretty much looks like the Sach's bike right there.

Yeh you are right but it still looks like a lot of bike for $2K. Could the Bike Biz price be wrong???

I also tried the"service" expecting them to come back with something like the best deal currently is.....instead all I got was an email saying they'd pass on my details to the local dealer..

Waste of time ...........you don't need a service to walk into or call up a dealer and ask the price.
