what do you like better?

Post by Yankee »

and, what would you rather have?

1) the newest bike with all the latest crapola on it that everyone has
OR
2) a classic bike that no one else has that you can still whip ppls arses with

Just wondering.
I'd like one of each (atleast!) myself, but the almighty dollar prohibits that atm..... i just hold much more respect (in general) when i see older well cared for bikes out and about doing exactly what all the newer models do. Just shows experience and uh...... "love"? for that bike??!!!
you know?

"TIGGR"

Its Not the Latest n greatest & its new enough Still turn heads. The best of all worlds imho, "the grass is rarely greener on the other side of the fence". Its nice to fanatasize but much smarter to appreciate what you have.
I hope they re Release it as a ZZR1000 fuel injected Sports tourer. Only way i'm ever going to upgrade

Well I'm stuck with a classic ATM, and as much as I love it, I'd prefer to spend my dollars on modifications to a new bike, rather than restoration of an old bike...

Parts are a PITA to find and every little imperfection sends me into a frenzy if I don't take my pills... :?

So even though it's nice to own a little piece of history, I'd prefer to have something new... Ideally though, I'd have both...

I'm greedy. Give me one of everything. :)

If that's not possible, my priorities are as follows:

1. Comfortable enough to spend 8ish hours in the saddle, numb butt notwithstanding.

2. Nimble enough to be enjoyable on a twisty road.

3. Powerful enough to haul me + whatever I want to carry.

Anything over that's just gravy. I couldn't care less about age as long as the bike's serviceable and in good nick.

At the moment, the ZZR fits the bill. In 5 years' time, who knows? My VF500F comes close, and it really is a better bike around town than the ZZR. It just lacks power on the open road.

I'd prefer the newer models only cause the older ones just don't do it for me...

However, i'd ride a CT110 if it was the only bike around...

The above statement does no automatically mean that red_dave condones or supports the riding of Honda motorcycles and furthermore does not in any way diminish his loyalty to the premier brand - Kawasaki

i like to b unique...hence the 929 blade & NOT an R1 or gixxer...
he 929 blades were rarer than zx9rs too i reckon...
i also like the new stuff, but i like the idea of a few years old, and
really original..i wouldnt go TOO old , but 2-8years old & unique is my
thing....
cars i prefer old skool..hk monaro, xy gt...mmmmmmmmmm
