Hey guys, I've seen a few Kawasaki KR-1S up for sale these days, anyone ever owned one? What's it like sourcing parts for them? Do they keep up with the RVG 250's of the world? I know nothing about them, but they look nice a tidy most of the time.
Long live the 2-smokers.

Re: Kawasaki KR-1S
Spares are a bit difficult to get and takes some work to find . Rebuilding a crank is not cheap , none are
, and getting the seals is a pain . Those boys on the KR site can be a bit helpfull .
Faster than the RG but I think an RGV can be easily as quick or quicker . The later USD ones will certainly handle better .
Unless a seller can prove the engine is fresh , budget in $1500 for a rebuild .
PM me a phone number if you want more info or a rebuild project .
I rekon I have enough parts
