Crash cage ZX9R

Post by h8_rice »

Has anyone ever fitted a crash cage, or frame sliders to a 95 zx9r? Im having trouble finding pics. or any info on what is required.

Otherwise I'll have to make my own, I'v been having a look at how some of the later model bike cages are done. and sussed out roughly how I will mount it. But I'd really like something already done (for a fair price mind you) So I can just bolt it straight on.

Cages are not the sort of thing you can just walk out & buy, they are custom fabricated, sliders or oggys are easy & off the shelf. Are you looking at going into stunting seriously? then go here http://www.cunningstunts.com it's all aussie, there is more info on this site than you can poke a stick at ;)

I have a 98 zx9R, bought oggys from a site sponsor, Kaneg, http://www.kaneg.com.au and they just bolt straight on, piece of piss, simply replace 2 fairing bolts with crash knobs.
A good mate will bail you out of jail, a true mate will be sitting in the cell next to you saying "Damn, we fucked up!!!"

Yeah mate I wanna start mucking around on this thing, track days, and wheelies etc.

I want to get into stunting asap, but I will probably find it a bit hard with my current setup, and the sheer size of the bike. Alot of guys are saying get a 600, right power, and right weight to throw around. This is my commuter also, so I'd prefer not to send it into a ditch on its back wheel!.

There are some sites that are making bolt on cage kits for newer bikes. but as usual, cant find anything for mine!. Might look at oggys for now if its easier.
