Thx for the info Ron :)
The issue is that the guy from Lion batteries said that the battery is definitely not fully charged and to fully charge it , it's either taking the bike for a long ride which i did before but didn't do much for the problem in hand or maybe buying that 45 dollar charger.
I'll test the battery the way you instructed and see what happens.
PS: Today in the morning, the bike started from the first time, thus why i suspect it's the battery and nothing else because if the alternator is not working well, it shouldn't matter if it's cold or warm, right?
Thanks again :)

Hey guys,
it's definitely the battery, it died on me again today after two short rides. i got a friend to test the alternator , same way Ron suggested and it's working fine.
I'll get a new one on Monday morning :)
Cheers guys and thanks for your help, i'll post back when i get the new battery .

Hey Paul - if its inside the warranty period, take it back for a replacement. Glad you have it sorted. :D
I've spent over 40 years of my life riding bikes .... the rest of it, I wasted ..
If it's got wheels or tits, it's gonna give you trouble !

Hey guys,
I'm back on the road again yiihaaaaa :)
6maniac, thx for the info mate, apparently the the battery was dead. When i tried starting the bike on the old battery, the bike showed about 7.5 volts!!!!!!
Pretty much dead i guess :), i got new maintenance free battery that was showing 12.6 volts so i went and bought a charger (battery fighter junior) and charged it until it gave me a areading of about 13.8 volts...
I'm planning on putting the battery on the charger every 4 weeks or so since my ride to work and back home is kind of short.
Cheers everyone
