Howdy all

Post by kawavodka »

Well here I am ,just got full licence and keen to move on from the GS500. The reason of joined here is that I'm very seriously considering the Z750. I've test ridden same and felt it had just what was missing from the Suzie (can I print that word??). I have also ridden Triumph triple ( nice bike but a little less ? finished than the Zed 750.. Also I may just hunt down a good 2nd hand specimen and save thousands cf the Trumpy. Ducati seems a little over rated $2000 for the name eh?....
I see here a gold mine of info and would appreciate the forums honest opinion regarding this bike . PS i've also ridden the ZRX 1200R. (that removed my big bike virginity jitters). Just to let the crowd know ,I did start off on a good ol Kawasaki Eliminator...My first bike....sigh. But that Z750 felt :D r e a l :D fine. I'd love your truly honest opinion esp given that most here are much further up the ladder than I....Thanks. I can see myself getting convinced here...its probably what I need.

If I had to replace my 9 today it would be with an '04 z750 in that luverley orange colour. Great (easy) to ride, heaps of fun, completely non-intimidating and yet with enough poke to keep you grinning for years to come .... and no expectations from anybody else.

I'd better go get myself a tissue .

BTW, welcome :)

Huh, not green? Mmmmm are you allowed to say that Dave?
Seriously tho, yep I'm definately sold on the orange! Except that for only 2kgs more (assuming late model that is), I'd probably go the Zthou. Mmmm, better get my tax done, see if I've got any money coming my way.

Oh and btw, Welcome aboard hey! hello.gif hello.gif

I love my green 9, and if they made a z7fiddy in flat green I'd be interested, but:
1. The 750 is so much fun I'd never bother with the thou.
2. The 750 in orange is so hawt
3. Nobody expects anything from a z750 rider - Wattie did a 1.40 something (1.47 from memory) around EC on a zthou ... I call that expectation that I sure as shit can meet.
4. The bullshit metallic green doesn't work for me, it didn't work on the E1 9r (sorry Billy), it didn't work on the 12r (sorry Smitty), it didn't work on the 07 zx-rr (at least Kawasaki worked this out mid-season, but sorry Westy) and it doesn't work on the z. Orange it is.
