An idea for KSRC
I was thinking...should KSRC develop a brand of full leathers if they r not too expensive...i was going to try and design one to see if anyone likes the design, ill start photoshopping one and will post it up soon to see if anyone likes it... but the real question in here is "can we afford it"?
its a concept that came up in my head i dont know how...

Re: An idea for KSRC
Problem is coming up with a concept that can be accepted by the masses & the fact that not everyone will want to look the same.................. interesting Idea but

There aren't enough members to warrent mass produces suits, so only custom made expensive jobs would be any good. Then you'd need his & hers versions and a whole range of colours to suit everybodies tastes.
But, what is really important is how safe will they be? I for one am only part interested in how leathers look, mut mostly intersted in the protection they offer. More people could photoshop a drawing, not many could design the leatherwork to stand up to a high speed crash. Where are the best places to have seams, what should be double/tripple stiched. Where to have double thickness and what should be designed flexible. The list goes on and on, and is a high cost design process.
Best we could possibly do is fine someone who deas leather prints or dare I say it patches... Maybe we shouldn't go there!

Re: An idea for KSRC
Suppose the problem is that most of us don't need to buy protective gear all that often so there may not be much demand.
I imagine someone who does custom design may be able to incorporate the logo? But that may not be cheap.

If you want the club colours on your leathers... just buy an over sized t-shirt from the club and wear it over your leathers.

Re: An idea for KSRC
I spoke to a guy a while back about just putting our logo on one of his existing jackets and getting the red parts of his jacket done in green instead. It was going to be $200/jacket (the standard price) but only if I could get 50 orders .... it wasn't gunna happen.

Re: An idea for KSRC
Your problem is that leathers are probably more affordable off the rack now then they have ever been, so getting something semi custom made that's competitive will be tough. The other problem is that most of us probably already have leathers and being a substantial investment are unlikely to want to lash out another $1000 for an extra set, so it will be hard to get an economic volume.
Good on you for thinking about it though.
Cheers
