Mate, I'll take it off your hands! I'll only charge a couple of grand plus shipping costs, too.

Mighty generous offer, I thought.

but anywho enough about yamahahahahas
The TRX850 is a *great* bike for someone looking for something mid-sized. Very light, chuckable, a heap more power than your 250, a fair bit of grunt, but not something that'll suddenly be doing 180km/h without you realising and not something that'll wheelspin/wheelstand all over the place.

That said, I have a ZZR250 for daily use and I love it... I think I enjoy riding it more than the 12, simply because I can actually RIDE it rather than tiptoe around at 1/10th of its abilities.

TRX850, hmm where to start. Great motor, especially considering its from the early 80s and its agricultural origins which never changed much at all. You can boost it up 30hp with basic bolt on bits, but at the end of the day the rest of the bike will handle like a soggy pie. TRX forks, brakes, suspension & angles & C of G = sh1t.

Can't remember the guy who raced them in FX twins a few years back, he never won or anything, but I always thought his achievements were more a function of his ability than his bike, much like anything else I spose, but even more in this case!

It's a bike to romanticise, but please don't buy it ;)

If I had the money I would definately consider buying this one myself.

Want to go halves?

You can have Monday to Friday and I'll have Saturday and Sunday
