zx9r rotors

Post by h8_rice »

hey guys I got quoted $270 EACH for standard replacement rotors from the local guys.

I'd like to think I can get something better for that price, or at least find the stocko ones cheaper somewhere!?!?!

Im up for new ones I have a horrid shudder under brakes.

cheers

I don't think the C series ones will fit the B series 9 but ..... I've got to agree with Damon, $270 each isn't bad value ;)

yeah my bad. I didnt mention the year model. I assumed most of you knew since I posted a few months ago when I bought it, its a 95, everything i freakin search for on any of the usual websites is like 98 onwards. and im told most of it isnt interchangable. comes with pads too apparently :? .

Lets get this right, you've got a 95 which requires front rotors?

Options are pay $270 each and get a full set of pads, no brainer!

Take the front rotors off, ring Chain Gang, send away and wait for them back, usually within 4 days but no pads and it's gonna cost you around $400 plus you really need to really get them balanced before fitting.

First option would be the one for me.

im lookin at a '99 ZX9 (possibly buying) and the owner says he thinks front discs may need replacing( said they may be warped... should i walk away now???)

good to see tho that i'll need to factor around $500 if replacement is needed
