3 races - no finishes.!

Post by MadKaw »

Its not looking good for Kawasaki racing is it.?

Last weekend was a disaster. No factory bikes finshed in either in Moto GP or World Superbikes and only one in World supersport.
7 DNF's in one weekend. With Walker finishing 12th in Supersport being the best result..

The Kawasaki privateer team of Badovini and Iannuzzo didn't fair much better with both DNFing the first race and only Badovini finishing in the 2nd - 17th..
On a weekend with an oppotunity for 12 finishes, Kawasaki had only 2... 1 privateer, 1 supersport.

(got 15th, 17th and 19th in the superstock though.. :? )

Whats going on..??

Ah yes but the bloke who run up the back of the Ducati at the PI SBK was on Medical Emergency last week getting his smashed up hand fixed so there was actually one Kwaka rider on tele

But yes it's pretty ordinary in Kwaka land. What's happened to Westy? He was showing a bit of promise last year and now he's struggling. The only consolation is that at least he occasionally gets in front of Melandri. Technically we can say he's up with the World Champion team :?

Kawasaki have probably shown the best consistency of any GP or Superbike Team! :D
but's it's not the kind of consistancy you want to see! :?

Winning a race, let alone a championship, requires more than just a good bike, more than just a good rider and more than just a good team! ATM, in my opinion, either one, or all of these requirements are not present. In my opinion, Kawasaki need two riders. One who KNOWS how to delevop and set up a machine and the other to, in the first year, ride it faster and faster until it falls over and then go on to win the next year.

Guys like Steve Martin and Troy Corser are great with set-up and development and then someone like Lorenzo or Melandri to ride the wheels off of it and greet the flag first in the 2nd year!

But once again, it's the combination which works. The right rider, the right bike, the right set-up, the right tyres, the right team to make it all work and be reliable!!!!!

Ill be cynical and say money and talent rules. Would be nice for a kwaka to be up the front.

Hey Buck forgot you were up here now, see you at the TW Xmas Party ?

OK back to thread, Yep I bleed green and am as pissed as the rest of you. I have the solution but its NOT a nice one although proven to be true.
Has anyone else noticed that whenever someone, whether on here or another forum, stacks a kwak that the race results improve
When I smashed the original 12 Chris Walker won a SBK round. When Master Buckets stacked the Battlestar Kwaktactica the french dude won the Super Sports at the Island. But we SHOULD have won the whole freaking thing as Ponti went down that trip too (and NO I DONT mean on you neka  ). I am sure if we checked that everytime Westie has done half decent that somewhere in the world someone has Kartwheeled a Kwak.
Obviously the great green gods require blood sacrafices. ;)

Now I have already written off WAY too many ZX's and I am not that keen to even scratch the new one so it looks like someone else is going to have to take one for the team (Geez neka get your mind out of the gutter already  ).
From past experience the riders themselves dont have to be hurt but the bikes themselves must be a total write off.
So how do we handle this, short straws, a poll, or do we just get all "Johnny the Boy" on someones rear axle ??

Just because you can ride, doesnt mean you should. My reason on this earth is an example to others what NOT to do.
