Well here we are 2 weeks down the track, $260 poorer and a new switch on the side of the bike to show for it... for whatever reason they can't fault the bike so they've added a switch on the side that isolates sidestand, neutral and clutch switch, theory is, jump on bike, no start, flick switch, if it starts voila we've found the problem (perhaps).

Not exactly screaming with joy to be honest, rapt to have the bike back, but not like I can do any reliable touring or anything for I reckon 3 months till i'm satisfied whatever bug it is has been fixed...

Ahaaaaa Mick, good luck. I once had a problem with a GSXR7fiddy, took ages to work out it was the coils, dont sound like it is your problem but. A set of second hand ones from Trinders Gixxer fixed it fine. Hope you is on the move now. If I have troubles with my new zx9 I will drop you a line as you will have ALL the answers. LOL Cheers

Yeah all sorted with some help from Slow and Wobbly who kindly donated coil strips and reg/rec so we could eleiminate them, bought a used CDU from Shoalhaven motorbike wreckers and no drama since touch wood.
