Advice regarding first Solo ride ever :)

Post by PaulF »

Hey everyone,
I just finished Uni (still ahve finals though!!) and i'm planning on riding somewhere on the week ends :D
The thing is that i am not familiar with NSW roads and not sure where to go
I live next to Parramatta and i was wondering if any of you guys can lead me to some nice drives :)
the plan would be to ride and come back home the same day for a starter and then ...
Cheers everyone!

old pacific highway can be good ... and if you follow on to wollombi and then down the putty road back to windsor, you will definitely have an awesome day of riding!!!

G'day Paul. There is a regular ride must Sunday's to the Royal National Park (Nasho) in the south and the old Pacific Hwy (OPH) in the north. You could head along to one of those rides for a start, then continue on out of town. As baby_ninja said, from the OPH you could continue to Wollombi and further afield. From the Nasho you could continue on to Macquarie Pass and Kangaroo Valley.

A lot of these roads (OPH and Nasho included) can be challenging and should be treated with respect.

dave's right all these roads are fun and twisty but do need respect!

you could also head out thru castle hill and then go out thru wiseman's ferry...

or even head down to the southern highlands ...

i would suggest that you do these roads with other people first then venture out on your own...

cheers

if you head out as far as woolombi, Broke then down the putty just take note that it is a long solo ride for a newbie and no way to to take a shortcut and head home. After saying that it is a bloody good run
