There's a guy, we did a group buy in Canberra not so long ago, actually we did two :). *goes and looks* here's the info for the CanberraRIDERS group buy:
Chucks wrote:After the success of last years group buy, and the sudden influx of riders onto the site and at coffee, I have been asked to organise another one.

First the blurb ... "A viable long lasting and stylish alternative to the plastic holder of the past. The tube is made of polycarbonate and is bullet-proof. Simply attach the label to a piece of clear plastic, roll it up and slide it into the tube."

Mel tried to destroy one of these with her rear wheel whilst still riding and failed.

The price per tube is $15 and they have quoted me $12 bulk postage for 20. So the price to you guys is $15.60 each.

If you want to look at one up close come to coffee, there should be a few to be seen there from last years order.

*snip order and payment details*

Once I have money for 20 tubes I'll place the order. When they turn up, I'll hand em out at coffee or you can PM me to grab them another time.
The guy we got them from I think is this guy (link won't work from work):

I'll double check where we got them from and let you know.

I have seen them in the local bike shop for $29.95. But I couldn't bring myself to part with the cash, so i made my own. The tube and endcaps are the packaging from a counterboring bit we use at work. I made the brackets by drilling a strip of aluminium and wrapping it around the tube. the whole thing cost me nothiing but an hour of my time.
Cheers Marty

Hmmmmm

nice handy work there marty
might just have to make one of my own :D
toolmaker by any chance or alike.

will let you know how it turns out.

PS. You should have polished the aluminium brackets for a bit more bling and sprayed them with a product called (INCRALAC) so they hold the shine
and then you dont have to re-polish them due to exposure.

all in all great idea
and the best part is ,its compliments of the boss man :D :D :D
and its free.

Hi Jen,

There's 2 types, Flywheels sell both if you're over that way, I got one of the cheaper ones from them $30 as everyone has said, there is also an aluminum which is quite bling for about $80, you can also get this type from austreetfighters.

Cheers

Make your own - parts from Bunnings for approx. $ 5.00 - or I'll do 'em for you. Not flash but same result.
