Wendy I am glad that your pride and joy is ok! I own my Z a few times over as well, unfortunately, but Oggies really saved the day.
Cheers,

Re: Thank God for crash's
Bugger, that sucks
I never bother trying to save it. Its only a bike so I just let the damn thing fall, I'd rather not hurt myself trying to catch it.
(Having said that, it's not a nice shiny new bike either)

Hey Wendy, get out and ride in the rain - improves your skills & its fun

I've spent over 40 years of my life riding bikes .... the rest of it, I wasted ..

Riding in the rain doesn't bother me at all, but the blood tests/ xrays I had done this week do- I have bronchitis, scaring in my lungs from coughing for 6 weeks, low iron levels, glandular fever etc, etc.......
no wonder it was hard to hold my bike up last weekend. Riding in the rain maybe not a great idea right now me thinks!

Re: Thank God for crash's
Hope you're feeling better soon and sorry to hear about the drop. Sucks, doesn't it
I practically kissed my Oggs when I came off. The road ground off about half of the crash and my mirror and bar end got scratched up, but apart form a small scrape, may fairings were fine - without the crash they would've been throw-aways without a doubt!

Re: Thank God for crash's
Sorry to hear you're Ill Wendy, take it easy and hope you feel better soon.
You story inspired me to look at oggys for the 10, $320
But I suppose that's cheaper than the repair of even minor fairing damage.
Oggys for the CBR are chearer at $!20, but need a big hole cut in the fairings - which defeats the point to me. As it's a race bike I may look into them too as some point.

My oggys were about the same price Mike, but believe me it is an investment worth every cent!photomike666 wrote:Sorry to hear you're Ill Wendy, take it easy and hope you feel better soon.

My ZZR was the same- needed holes cut in the fairings to accomodate them.

Re: Thank God for crash's
good to see no real damage there
I know how you feel though..... first week having the ZRX..... I almost dropped it in my garage..... I thought the side stand had locked down..... when i got off.... and went to lean it over a bit.... it kept going...... i held it all the way.... and kept it just off the ground.... and managed to lift it back up without it touching down.... but damn it was heavy! since then, I have been uber careful
Kinda funny afterwards though!

Re: Thank God for crash's
I bought a set of crash's for the 10 only 2 weeks ago and only paid $250 from BikeBIz although I was then paid out on by Pete (Kaneg)when he helped me fit them and a few other things because he sells the none crash branded sliders for $80 a set.photomike666 wrote:Sorry to hear you're Ill Wendy, take it easy and hope you feel better soon.
