Re: Cutting off the rear fender....
I just made a small bracket out of stainless, but its a lot easyier when you have all the gear to do it. Look on ebay and buy a 'fender eliminator'.

Re: Cutting off the rear fender....
I'd be checking the legality of the mod first. I was of the understanding that the rear guard had to be no more than 45 degrees from the axle. That's why guys get done for fender eliminator kits, isn't it?
In God, we trust; all others must supply data.

Re: Cutting off the rear fender....
They are mostly aloy so you can bend them to any angle. I would suggest keeping your original so if there was any problem from the plod, you can re fit it. Bit hard tro do if you have chopped the fark out of it.
Re: Cutting off the rear fender....
thanks for the feedback fellas.
aside from ebay, would they sell them in any bike shops? i live in perth.
thanks.

Re: Cutting off the rear fender....
I have sold the bike now, so I hope the new owner isn't hassled for it
with some weight on the seat, it may be OK.
There was some discussion about some others who were fined here, but got off because the ADR may not apply to your bike.

Re: Cutting off the rear fender....
That's interesting because a while ago i saw a diagram for Qld and they altered the 45 degree thing so that the rear mudguard had to cover at least half the rear wheel.
I also recall reading in a link that states can legislate their own vehicle standards and overide ADR, not sure how true that this but i do recall reading it.

Matty (good name that one)
RatedR parts (ebay seller) is based in Yokine. sells fender eliminators etc..
Careful with the LED indicators (If you were thinking about it) though as many are piss poor in the light output department and cost you extra to get the flash rate right FYI.
The one on the 10 is actually made from a piece of 20mm alloy angle and the RatedR led number plate light/bolts. Looks soooo neat/trick.
