First Electric Bike in OZ
The first all-electric production road vehicle available in Oz
http://www.siliconchip.com.au/
I know it's not something that i would even contemplate a trade in on, but i like the concept for a round towner
It will have it place in the world... The new postie bike???
What do you think?

Read the article in the mag a week or so ago.
Sounds OK bar the 100k range @ 40 kph, wonder what the range is like at higher speeds? That and the rather slow acceleration

Re: First Electric Bike in OZ
Try this then
http://www.gizmag.com/go/7564/picture/35513/
Electric daytona 0 to 60 mph in 2.6 seconds range of 143 miles and a top end of 93 mph
However that has got to be the worlds largest screen on any bike ever
And reminds me of the Spaceballs Darth Vader helmet
MCN did a review on another electric sports bike a few months ago looked hot as, stuffed if i can remember who did it though.

Re: First Electric Bike in OZ
i agree it has it's place in the world.. and yes i will look at one which resembles a bike..has enough power etc.... I hav recently applied for a few jobs in the city... perfect for round town...hope they drop a few $$ thoughGosling1 wrote:I think its great - for certain uses. Inside 5 years ( maybe even 3 or 4), I hope to be riding something like this to work and back each day. As long as it can accelerate to 100kmh inside 6-8 seconds, and cover a distance of 50km between recharging........well, it would be the ideal commuter bike.
