What the Phaaarks happened to tyre prices???

Post by Glen »

Now I know I'm getting older but Alzheimers hasn't kicked in yet.

It's been awhile since I've bought a full set at once but I'm shopping around for new hoops for the 10 and I'm flat stick finding anything under about $570 a pair.

I presume the Oil Price is the killer but holy shit batman......

So far I've had
Power 2CT's $569 MAW
Pirelli Corsa 3 $578 MS Motorcycles

next step Aitkens and Flywheels.....

Now where did I leave my phone.........

I got those Dunlop Roadsmarts for about $460-480 fitted from memory. They grip great (ice excepting) and work well in the wet and cold too. 8)

Bridgestone also have a new 016 out which is spoken of in positive terms in very tyre review I have read of them.

I got some of the new Pirelli Diablo Rosso's today from Flywheels which are well priced and cheaper than the two you have been quoted. Give Craig a call.

Dont know how long they will last but from the reviews I have read they are a bit like the M3's :? .

not sure about that......one of the local boys on a track day a couple of weeks ago had a brand-new set of these fitted to his 08 ZX10R......they were fucked within 3 sessions, from cold-tearing.......you shoulda seen them  - I am sure if they were warmed up properly, they would have been fine ?

3 sessions  .

Should last me at least 10k then ;) .

Wonder why they are selling them as the 20% track and 80% road and the best thing for road riders in a very long time :? (AMCN Vol 57 No 18). Bastards. Maybe 3 sessions is more than 20% .
