Re: Tighten Up Your Helmet Strap
In England you get a reasonable fine and points for not wearing a helmet, but you get more if you wear one without the strap done up!

Re: Tighten Up Your Helmet Strap
As a matter of course I ALWAYS double check that my chin strap is done up before getting on to ride off on the bike - just a habit i've got'n into!
To my surprise a couple of times of late it hadn't been
. . . . hence the MUST DO check before riding off!

Re: Tighten Up Your Helmet Strap
wouldnt you notice the straps whipping you when you take off? i remember when i forgot to do mine up, the straps started whipping against my neck and shoulders when they got a bit of air behind them.

Re: Tighten Up Your Helmet Strap
I rode off one day without my straps tightened (by mistake) and it's something i will never do again! If you don't tighten the straps you might as well leave the helmet at home.
This beer is making me AWESOME!

Re: Tighten Up Your Helmet Strap
the loose strap hurts bad enough when you dont clip it up against its self, let alone not do it up at all

There was a bloke who used to ride an MV on the OPH with the straps poked up inside the lidMrWasabi wrote:wouldnt you notice the straps whipping you when you take off? i remember when i forgot to do mine up, the straps started whipping against my neck and shoulders when they got a bit of air behind them.

Re: Tighten Up Your Helmet Strap
In Greece, the law says that you have to have a helmet with you when you ride.
So, what do the greeks do
??
Carry them on their arms while riding....
We concluded, that the saying "she'll be right mate" originated in Greece
They also got tough on not wearing seatbelts in cars, the greeks printed some T-shirts with the black stripe running accross, to fool the cops
