Im booked!

Post by MrWasabi »

to do my P's test on the 13th of May :D

and while making the booking i was already shaking with nerves!

i know i had a thread about the actual test a while ago, and many of you told me not to worry, but i cant help it.

I was wondering if someone would donate their time, maybe an hour, and watch me ride for a bit and tell me if i am doing anything wrong?

I heard that there may be some old car parks that the RTA used to use for the test and have the markings still there??? Not sure whereabouts but its worth some research I guess!

Hi,
I heard somewhere (might have been here) that nerves will be the thing that makes you fail, when I got my unlimited licence the instructors showed me around the course the examiner uses.I was nervous too but only because I wanted it so much but the worst that can happen is fail and have to do it again.

All the best anyway

I'm in Kellyville mate. If you can find a car park somewhere I can spare some time. Our old range was at Quakers Hill behind the pub but I'm not sure if it's there any more.

Don't stress mate, it's a piece of piss really! I did mine about 2 months ago now and aced it, literally! Only myself and 1 other passed and he only JUST passed, the rest let nerves get to them :? If i can give any advice it would be to not pay too much attention to the rest of the guys in your group (excluding the instructor of course  ) I found that the others seemed to be REALLY anxious and nervous and were stressing big time about what is involved in the test and what not, when all you have to do is PAY ATTENTION to what the instructor is telling you. Don't let the other guys nervousness infect you!

Treat it just like another day riding and try to learn as much as you can from the instructor. Most of all, just enjoy it mate! Thats what it's all about after all, isn't it?
This beer is making me AWESOME!

yep as above, stay calm and dont panic even if you make a mistake, just forget about it and continue with the test
one drill we made a friend do before she went for her P's was just go as slow as she possibly could using rear brake and constant rpms while keeping eyes up and looking where she wanted to go....... she shit it in on a ZZR250, which doesnt even have the greatest turning circle
I RAN INTO AN ALL RETARDED STREET GANG,THEY WOULDA KICKED MY ASS IF THAT ICE CREAM TRUCK DIDNT SHOW UP WHEN IT DID

The old weigh station at Berowra used to have the course marked out. I'm sure a few of the old hands could stop in on the way back from a Pie run and have a gander (though expecting anything sensible to come from any of them is optimistic in the extreme :)). All things considered I'd take Glen up on his offer - he used to do the testing after all and knows a thing or three about passing the test ;)
