Me too... bout 97 fixed my sights on a huge dirty arse tree... thought i was ok.. and was stoked the old 175 honda twin was still running.. picked her up rode home, bars manged and bike fairly bent.. bit of shrapenal in the leg, but i freaked out the next day when i realised i had knocked all the numbers out of my head..phone numbers. addresses etc... mild concussion! was ok by the end of the weekMrWasabi wrote:same thing happened to me when Rob, Brendan and I went for a loop up the PITS.

Mine was a wombat hole in the middle of a bend up in the bush. l think the worse part about it, is that in your mind you know what you need to do but the body just wont answer.

Re: Female rider with target fixation.
Now that's just ludicrous.
I'll bet no-one above felt the magnetic pull as strong as the one in the video.
It's probably the hardest thing to stop doing (watching the bike in front) but goodness me at some point it must of entered the mind that the end result was going to be painful.
For the more experienced riders out there, how did you get over the habit of watching the person you were following?

Ride in front - there are no distractions.

I've spent over 40 years of my life riding bikes .... the rest of it, I wasted ..

Must have been Randy's arse she was fixated on- only excuse for such an error!

I don't know if TF counts when you can't even see where you are going, ie can't see the target until you impact it
