Don't worry too much about K's aslong as it's been regularly serviced,my '96 ZX6R had 78000K's on it before being taken out by a Magna and apart from relacing the fuel pump(around 68k mark) it really didn't miss a beat and i used it every day, could of seen it hitting the 100k mark.

My 95 ZX6 still went great with 87K on the clock - nothing mechanical ever shat itself while I had it, it had 49K on the clock when I got it :D

He don't sugar coat nothing 'Val' but he's got a good point...

A naked is the better bike for cruising / allround..I know a HELL of a lot of motorcyclists around Perth and trust me - Unless you can actually ride (I mean really ride) you may be better off on a sport cruiser/naked.A shit rider looks farkin stupid on a 20G + Sports Bike!!!(not at all cool!!!)

Hey only telling you from exp... I got a GPZ and a friggin GSF1200 for most rides (or the KLR650).. The 10 is reserved for "play time" 8)

I've got a '94 ZZR600 which I have found to be a really great upgrade bike from my first 250.

More than enough performance for my current level of skill/experience, comfortable for a long day in the saddle or for a quick (for me  ) scoot.

Mine has 63K on the clock, has given no problems for the 12 months I've had it and I really enjoy riding it.

And the best part is you can pick up a really good one for less than $5K.

Fair point, a zeddy could be cool , will just have to see if my short legs will reach the ground and ride one.
I also like the old z650's for a bit of nostalgia. 8)

An earlier ZX6R or any ZZR600 would be a good choice, but having ridden one I'd be recommending the ER6n. I know if doesn't fit your bill on paper but once you ride one you'll see what I mean.

I have a ZX12R and riding the ER6 was great fun, so they're by no means a crap choice.
