Hey, the Woose talks favourably about his 'long term' ZrX1200R in this weeks AMCN and mentions a certain motorcycle racing commentator (Philthy) who also owns a ZRX12.
Im a bit dissapointed Matho didnt get the man himself to write the article, and perhaps a photo shot of a couple of ZEDs thru Nasho on the back wheel only. (And Phil wonders why his steering head bearings are like mushy peas). Big Guy, when u getting the full Kerker mate, we cant hear you breathing down our knecks ?

Re: Enough Zed
The wheelies definetly come std with the big Rex, but putting cams in really makes it compulsory
. As for the headstem bearings I am afraid that is simply bad Quality control on Kawasaki's part backed up by poor/ripoff dealership book services
. When I changed mine out @ 45,000klm's I found them to have a very small SHOT of grease on them, 3/4 of the bearing was dry from factory. Backed up by non-existent servicing from dealerships after a quick buck, they should have been checked & greased @ some point( don't recall exact time/klm's)
. Compared to my '87 CBR1000 that did 160,000klm's on original headstem bearings! Admitedly with maybe 50% less wheelies
.
So can Phil get a mention of the KSRC or ZRXOA into AMCN? Bit of free advertising?

Not a 100% on this but seem to recall head stem bearings due for check at the 48,000 service.Errol wrote:The wheelies definetly come std with the big Rex, but putting cams in really makes it compulsory. As this thread mentions servicing and few things you guys have noticed, can i ask how much of a check you do of your bikes after and before you leave the dealership? Just to be safe here like. Btw bit off the topic but is it just me or is anyone else a bit tired of reading in AMC about 50 grand ( who the hell actually has that kind of cash to spend... )Ducati track tests?

Are you sure i said that???
