Slip On for 08 250R?

Post by fireyrob »

Just wanting some opinions on whether I should throw a slip-on on my 250R? Ive got a fender eliminator to throw on it but what do you all think about getting the slip-on? Any power gains? I know its only a 250 but its a fun toy nonetheless... If so what do you recommend? Its only got 500k's on it so if I do get it done probs at the first 1000k service... Am I just throwing money away?

Depends on how long you're going to ride it... More than 12 months then i'd say yes.

It's also a "safety" thing - the louder the pipe, the better chance a cager will hear you.

yea.. if ur only keeping it 12 mth, id say stick the cost of a slip on towards a new bike... or good gear, or rider training...

otherwise.. if u really wanna do it.. .do it!!

(no matter what we say, as a motorcyclist u will do wot u want anyway...hahahaha)

Go the slip on, but keep all the original gear wraped up & kept safely ...4 reasons

Makes for easy sale if all OEM gear goes with the bike
Shows the potential buyer you have taken care
If you get slapped with a defect notice you can use the original for an inspection
Spares parts should you have a crash... but you wont ;)
