but seriously I didnt grab a 7 with long stints in mind
more the track. The 9 would have been a smarter
proposition as an everyday mount.

As a completely one-eyed, totally biased and vocal 6 supporter, absolutely convinced that the 06 ZX6 is the pinnacle of a long line of awesome superior 6's, it pains me to say that I would recommend the 9 for the sort of riding you're talking about. It's a comfortable, powerful, very versatile bike.

Then again, I guess it doesn't pain me that much - after all, you're in need of a weekly commuter that isn't too stodgy. The 9 fits the bill - it's the Clydesdale of the bike world, after all. When you want a finely-bred racer for a weekend blat, guaranteed to scratch that itch, well, then you can get the thoroughbred of the batch. The '06 ZX6R

Well i did a h/way run with mine today 288ks @110-120 ks and used only 14.5 litres so there certinly economical Yesterday through reefton etc it was nowere near that

Really that much difference....

Iv'e had a look around price wise, it seems the "B" series will be more in my price range.

Is there really all that much difference between "B & C" series models?

I was talking C model on, I wouldn't bother with the B. It's 240 kgs and 125hp! It has a swingarm pivot in the wrong position which causes a few rear end grip issues at times. It is also top heavy. Better off with a F model 6 than a B model 9. The 750P is a better bike than the B model 9. (Ducks for cover as B model owners everywhere see red! ) The B is also prone to chucking head gaskets for some reason???
