As above, haven't read too much about it, does it have an immobiliser or is it an option?

Hmm from their FAQ.

Does the Ignitor Motorbike Alarm immobilize the engine?

No, The effectiveness of immobilisers on motorcycles is somewhat questionable.

So why pay for it.

Quote from the NRMA website;

'An alarm with an engine immobiliser, for instance, can be used...

However, this isn't much help if the thieves can simply lift your bike into a truck.'

My car has an immobilser, what good is it if someone is gojng to hook my car up to a tow truck? Fwiw I personally would like the piece of mind that na immobiliser brings, ie can't easily be hotwired, had at least one bike knocked off by someone snapping steering lock and hot wiring my bike..

the ignitor alarm is just a shoch sensor with a siren i believe, nice bit of kit, only 2 wire to install and no hacking of the loom, if you want an alarm with immobiliser/pager/fuel cut, get a scorpio.

The best immobilisers are custom hidden killswitch jobs. They're easy to do yourself, and that way nobody else knows exactly whats been done and how to circumvent it.

I received this from Ignitor yesterday. They have organised a special through one of their dealers as they don't want to annoy them by taking them out of the loop. Any questions PM me.
