i really like the look of the versys, i hope to be getting one soon as a test bike - i'll let you know how it goes.

I have also arranged a multistrada for early march as well :P

I am going to go test ride a Versys! I have trolled the net and read a few reports from O/s and here which all seem pretty favourable. I also read a pretty good report from one of the Pommy mags which one of the guys had up at Jindabyne over the weekend. It was very complimentary about it! 8)

The 12/14 idea was to replace the 9! But as I am not going to offload the 9 then I don't need a 250+kph sports bike. What I really need, is a simple, reliable, cheap to buy, cheap to run, mile munching, gear toting, super comfortable, grunty and fuel efficient touring bike, which is still happy when the road turns loose! :D So my thoughts are back to things which fit that design brief. I really have to buy this bike with my head, not my heart! It's going to be the mile eater which I use to go tripping about the countryside during 2008!
