RADARS AND PLODS E'WHERE UP REEFTON!

Post by Strika »

I caught up with a mate tonight who went for a ride up the Reefton Spur last Sunday. He said there were THREE seperate Radars going up the spur! As well as several marked and unmarked police cars and bikes! Apparently some tools have been posting vids in some forum of Black spur laps and it has spilled over onto the Reefton as well! :x Dickheads!

Cops started operation Unrider on the 13th, might have something to do with that too, trying t catch unlicensed riders..

Ah Reefton, my fave 18km of road. Why 'o' why can't people enjoy the fact they can have a good blast up there without getting in trouble (apart from dieing) and just leave it at that so we all get to enjoy these quiet little secrets. Cockheads I tell ya :x

I miss that road so much. Nothing quite like a sunny wednesday arvo lap or 5 up there. But there is that one time i got snowed on and nearly had a head on with a cop in his wrx who was the wrong side of the road. I actually came accross him unexpectedly later that day. I was well over 1.7 tonne and he flashed his head lights, waved at me to slow down and just kept driving. To this day I still don't know if it was a case of leaving us bikers alone on such a quiet road or simply a trade off for nearly running me over earlier. Who knows?

Sorry, Hi-jacked. My bad.

I thought you said the police don't view internet forums ??? ;)
I don't suffer from insanity; I enjoy every minute of it.

The good news is that Reefton fun can be had waaay below the speed limit :D

But yeah, if they lower it to 80 that would suck.

My mates & I were pulled over at a road block, right at the end of the Reefton.
They were doing licence 'checks' & decided it would be fun to canary my bike for it's now near bald rear tyres state...
They said that "They were sick of arranging TAC claims for all you bikers!"

Apparently it's YouTube  ... do a search of "black spur" there for some entertainment :?

Better ride there now before it becomes 60 zone !

Sorry my mistake..you're right! After my mate told me about his encouter, I read about it also somewhere on a forum! Either way, it is publicising idiots which no doubt the media will portray all of us as!!!! :x :x :x :x

I never ride over the speed limit and dob in everyone I see doing it! So I know I am safe!

Oh, and if the police do read the forums, we are doing a ride straight up the Hume Hwy to Albury and back on Sunday! :D
