Kawasaki having probs with ADR

Post by MadKaw »

I just recieved an e-mail from Murray Sayle at Kawasaki and he mentioned Kawasaki are having trouble with the Government getting ADR approval for the new models.
The guys at Aitkens mentioned the new 250 had been knocked back due to the rear mudguard not being wide enough.

This is now delaying the zx10r and ninja 250 release....

Bloody beaurocrats ..!!!

BTW, I mentioned to Murray we will be at turn for the WSB at P.I. and he said he will try to get there...

The rego plate is a standard size, what difference does it make how wide the mounting bracket is? I thought the only stipulation was to have the plate behind the rear wheel???

People in the over political US of A already have 08 10R's in their garages, why is this country being to anal about it?

It's the width of the stupid strip that hangs down the back thats the problem. They reckon it's too thin although it's exactly the same as the one on the ZX6. What it looks like is the bigger manufacturers (I'm looking at YOU Honda) putting pressure on the government departments responsible to delay the inevitable. The new Ninja shits all over the competition and they know it and are just being petulant gits. I've seen it all before

The goverment should look at the current Yamaha R1 then, I have seen bigger fender eliminaters than what comes as standard fitment to them.
I just had a look at pics of both and there is no way that the ZX10R's is any smaller than the one on the R1.
