RANT! - I hate getting ripped off!!!

Post by red_dave »

As the title says, I hate getting ripped off!

I saw a Micron slip-on advertised on Ebay and was going to have a crack at it, however i missed the end of the auction and thus missed out on the pipe.

A week later, i saw the pipe re-advertised so i went for it! I was successful and won the auction. So organised NortiKittyKat to pick up the pipe and send it to me - no worries there.

Then i got a email from someone saying that the 2nd highest bidder was the the owner's alter-ego and the seller from the original auction. They had jumped on, placed a high bid to jack up the price!

So i got ripped off!

That's right, i got ripped off $30! Got the brand new Mcron Pipe for $182 Woo Hoo! :finga: :finga: :finga: :finga: :finga: :supz: :supz: :supz: :supz: :partyman: :partyman: :partyman: :finga: :finga: :finga: :finga:

So decided to fit it this afternoon (hence my absence at Aitkens) and Fark me doesit sound horny

Nice one..

Send an e-mail to e-bay saying the seller was shill bidding. They will be removed as its against ebay policy..
$30 is almost a slab of beer... which you could have used to help install the pipe...

BTW,
There doesn't appear to be any being consumed during the installation... dissapointing..

Yeah, there was a distinct lack of beer during the process cause i wasn't at Dave's...

The seller has been reported to ebay by the person who contacted me and i hope they get dealt with (i already checked to see if he had any other 636 bits)

The process itself was surprisingly pretty simple. I've had most of the rear end off before when Jase and I fitted the "Mr Stompy's Super fender eliminator" so it all made more sense this time. The most frustrating and time consuming part was fitting the pipe into the brackets and onto the heat shield! Considering i'm the worst mechanic in the world, i think it was a job well done. :D

Interesting to see how it'll go on the dyno

Uh oh. I thought I was a sure win for the 600 category at the dyno day.... Looks like I've got some competition
It looks sexy, Dave. Every Micron I've heard has sounded horn - they have a really nice note to them. I can't wait to hear it - any chance it will come out for a play this weekend, or do we have to wait until the dyno day?
