You're a mechanic and your asking in here.........????

Must be a totally farked motor mate! My 85000klm ZX9 lifts in the first two from throttle alone as does Phil's 99! Are ya sure you're turning the throttle????

Yeah get shims checked, carbs balnced and if all that doesn't help then heed to words of Strika, your motor's fucked!

What kind of mechanic are you.... a refrigerator mechanic.
Have you done a compression test?
The 9 should lift easy under throttle in 1st.
Is it running on all cylinders? :?
Have you got the right fuel? (Not diesel)
Is the throttle twisting the right way? ;)
Have you turned on the ignition? :o
You have to ask yourself these question and answer them truthfully.

I know take it to a mechanic and see what he says....

my RF doesn't lift under acceleration, but that is most likely due to the fact im just a goddamned pussy on the throttle.

Well BikerBoy, people have already suggested all these things! As he is a mechanic and says he has checked everything, my response is the motor is fucked! think some of the other responses prior to yours were pretty good too, with some suggestions of other things to do and with a touch of humour even...god forbid! You had better get yourself back into the pharmacy before those serious pills of yours run out!!

You are a mechanic and you have said you have checked everything??? What more can us mere mortals offer, than what we have! :? Check shims, carb balance, plugs etc and if all good then it's most likely not a happy motor!! As I said mines got 85+k and Phils over 100 and both pull like freight trains!

As YOU are a mechanic, perhaps you could give us a more detailed description of what the engine is doing in order for us to make a guess??

Also as you are a mechanic I have a question for you....my wife's little 318i won't light the tyres up anymore. What should I do?? Cause that's about the same amount of information you have given us to make a diognosis!!

HTFU!
