Sunny day road rage & stuff

Post by graemec »

Well my bro is over from scotland so went for a wee tootle up neebs and back via sanford.
We are at the lights opposite ferney grove copshop and the bro pulls up next too me, i ask how he likes the rd when the lights change.
1 second later some nutter in a 4 wheel drive starts abusing us out the window and beeping his horn. Get a fucking move one etc so off we tootle with this twat hard up my bros tail. He changes lanes and revs past us then cuts over from the opposite lane nearly cleaning Iain up.
Pull up after him at the next set of lights and he jumps out and starts going mental then punches me on the front edge of the helmet!
Iains off the bike and i'm not even off the bike at this point. Some other guy who turns out to be his brother climbs out of a ute and gets between us. Giving it "dont bother he's a nutter you dont want this he'll kill you". The nutter has by this time jumped back in his car and taken off. Long story short he's getting charged as we reported it to the cops. SO if you up neebs or around sanford look out for a black 4 wheel drive rego no 80LAY. He seems to have summat against bikes!
Are you sure i said that???

Yep, good work , I am sick of the clowns in cars that think they can abuse you for doing the speed limit , maybey it's all that meth thats going around making people crazy. But I don't know if I would have been that calm I probably would have lost my temper.

Yeah Im well surprised at myself for remaining calm tbh. Though I never felt anything as he wacked the helmet.
Thinking about it later though, If i had lost it and actually been able to get of the bike fast enough to hit him with
kevlar knuckled gloves on i probably would have really done some serious damage.
Cops did say something interesting though, if you go say anything like "OK fine lets go mate", you just gave him the right to smack you
and you cant win in a court case. Fucked way to end a great ride though .

A good mate will bail you out of jail, a true mate will be sitting in the cell next to you saying "Damn, we fucked up!!!"

The cop was right, i have a mate who is a bouncer and if someone is being a smartarse he will taunt them until they say "come on...hit me". Two guys have tried to have him charged after the events, but since they asked it's not assult.

It may well be worth investigating criminal compensation in this case Graeme. As he has applied physical force to the external shell, technically your helmet is now not roadworthy and must be replaced! I would ask the question ofthe police and attempt to have them incorporate it in there brief to the Magistrate. You may well be awarded replacement cost, and as we all know, that $1600 Arai Helmet you had on is now $2300 to replace isn't it????
