1993 kawasaki 750 parts availability and performanace sydney

Post by Parer69 »

Hi,
Recently purchased a 1993 750cc kawasaki zephyr and was after
the best place and price around the country to buy replacement mufflers
with abit of tone to them to suit this bike
also is there a way of improving the performanace without spending
a lot of money or rebuilding the engine
is there a local kawasaki bike club around Sydney
Regards
Brian

1) Hello back,
2) I'd look into getting a megacycle (i think thats the one) or a formula-1exhaust system if i were you. I haven't had the former, but have had the latter and was very happy with it,the midrange was stronger and a weak spot (bang on where the noise testing takes place) was gone.
3) Also consider a jet kit, avoid the dynojet kits, they do a good job of finnessing a couple more ponies out of your engine. But out of the box, other companies have made kits a lot closer to running a full system without minor fueling issues (dynojet run a touch rich) if the bike hasn't got major engine mods. Further to that i'd suggest getting a K&N filter for your bike, that assumes that K&N made a filter for your bike.
4) *looks* not one aside from us, least that im aware of...
5) Cheers

Hi Brian welcome to the klub :D
suggest just doing a google search on available exhausts for the zed as there might not be too many, my choice would be a staintune ..... Aussie made & bulletproof if thye dont to one specific for the zed Im sure they could come up with something suitable.... worth a call....their details are here: ;) http://www.staintune.com.au" target="_blank

failing mc performance able to provide a suitable system, formula-1 sell either through your local shop ( When i spoke to f1mc they said some people prefer to pay the slight premium so they can talk face to face with the salesman if they ever need after support) or directly. They're happy to do either, i just bought directly.
