I find it hard to believe that you would not need rego, at the very minimum you would need third party..

Does it come with a sound system so it can at least sound like a real bike?

There's a small power limit on bicycles assisted by electric motors, so you're dreaming if you think it won't need rego.
P.S. english is the local language, that was god damn painful.

Melbourne bike broker in south Melbourne/Pt Melbourne have a franchise for them. I noticed one plugged in on charge while sniffing about there on Friday. It carried a full VIC Motorcycle registration plate and label! 8)

From memory the power limit is 200watts, anything above this needs reg (in Vic that is).

am i missing something here? cos to me, that looks like a MOTORBIKE.... pretty easy to class IMO ;)

its not like a bicycle with a motor that can *potentially* be ridden without lic/reg (provided it produces less than 200w of power as triway said), it is a full blown sportsbike that uses an electric motor instead of a combustion motor. your bro should be commended for buying one for your nef, it'll be better for the environment, cheaper to run and wont disturb the neighbors. but he's kidding himself if he reckons it'll get around without rego or a licenced rider, that is a MOTORBIKE
