Re: decisions decisions....Spoilt for choice!

After riding the R1 for 360 odd klms today, I am not going to be looking at a sports bike as a long distance mount of any description in a hurry! My arse was killing me by the time I got to the W.G. bridge and even though it was a cool day today, the exhaust heat did it's best to fry my arse and the backs of my legs! But...that much power is a bit of a giggle!!! I'd forgotten how much fun it is to have the front lift at $2 just from a little bump and the throttle!

That would most obviously depend on what you mean by "deal of the century" Nick  ....if you were a diligent sales person, you might still have my telephone number to give me a call and chat to me about it?

That's R1's mate, the original nut roaster IMHO. The only one I've ridden gave me a sore arse within about 5-10 minutes of riding it

Shut up and buy one of these Marty.
It will fulfill you on so many levels -
1. Solid and reliable
2. Cheap to purchase and cheap to run
3. Performance upgrades are but an afternoon in the shed away with nowt but a hacksaw and a hammer!
4. Gain a better understanding of sidecars
5. Prove yourself as a rider by rounding up the wannabee's on the latest and greatest.
6 Built for touring - There are "windshields" and "saddlebags" available as accessories
7 Why bother with Premium unleaded when Kero will do?
8 Break down? dont look for a dealer any old welder and a pair of pliers will do!
9. Chain and sprocket? Nah fencing wire and a HQ flywheel pulley should see you right.
10. Cause it would be an absolute laugh!

It will fulfill you on so many levels - More likely you..
1. Solid and reliable Since when????? :?
2. Cheap to purchase and cheap to run Can't argu with that!
3. Performance upgrades are but an afternoon in the shed away with nowt but a hacksaw and a hammer! Wow! Sounds just awesome!!!
4. Gain a better understanding of sidecars Ever bothered to read my Sig???
5. Prove yourself as a rider by rounding up the wannabee's on the latest and greatest. I've got nothing to prove anymore!
6 Built for touring - There are "windshields" and "saddlebags" available as accessories Hard luggage you idiot??
7 Why bother with Premium unleaded when Kero will do? Gee how tempting...will it run on maria's chip oil??
8 Break down? dont look for a dealer any old welder and a pair of pliers will do! With the regularity of the breakdowns, it may have to be taken with you.
9. Chain and sprocket? Nah fencing wire and a HQ flywheel pulley should see you right. Another really tempting feature...
10. Cause it would be an absolute laugh! For you perhaps.

No closer really to deciding what I am going to buy. Thoughts have ranged from a well set up ZRX1200S/R, to a GTR1000 to a Versys with top box and panniers!
