I'm on the I used to own one of the FZS1000's ancestors drugs. See, the trend of taking the flag ship sports bike and making a semi naked/naked 'cruiser' is not a new one (I know I'm preaching to the queer - er - choir, but I'll plough on regardless

). Way before Spewie released the Bandit, Yamahahaha were making detuned versions of the FZ750. Almost every bolt was made of a mild steel chocolate and the suspenders were shite but the 20 valve motor was a pearl. It's like they went, "we've got this state of the art bike, how do we sell a bucket loads of cheap bike off the back of it", and found every possible way to make it cheap. I don't see that anything has changed, it's just that beam frames and upside down forks are no longer new technology.[/quote]
Then you best go have a look at a new FZ1N/FZ1000S. Nothing OLD SPEC about them now. The only things which are common are brakes and wheels! (Not including lights, elecs Starters etc.,!) The rest of it is unique! So I can hardly see how they have followed the theme you speak of in the 1987-1990 FZ's!!!

There are really only two questions in life. 1.Which way do i go? 2.What is the lap record?
