Re: Everyone loves a fatboy
Which brings me to another point.. wtf is it with these big tough macho bikies and tassles? Dunno but anyone else but be fucked if ya gonna see me ride a bike with tassles ANYWHERE on the bike or ideed me. Not evne nipple tassles as worn by one of the wacko Jacko clan in the superbowl.Ratmick wrote:I also passed a wannabee biker riding a fat-arsed HD while driving down the Western Highway. He was pootling along at about 100km/h looking down at the bike very concernedly, obviously looking for the source of an annoying noise and wasn't thankful when I pointed out he hadn't buckled down the flap of his tassled-fringed HD-supplied leather saddle bag![]()

See these big mf HD bikes and blokes and they got tassles on the levers, on the grips, on their jackets, like wtf??? C&W music escapees or something?
A good mate will bail you out of jail, a true mate will be sitting in the cell next to you saying "Damn, we fucked up!!!"

Re: Everyone loves a fatboy
Ignorance is bliss and in this instance in a number of ways.
The ignorance some people have towards the ability and quality of Harley Davidsons is prevelent. However, the ignorance shown by some non Harley Riders to Harley Riders is also there.
While I place Harley's in the same category as Sidecars (Sorry RR
) I am loathe to form a generalised opinion of those who ride them. As, I am loathe to agree with the generalised opinion that all sports bike riders are Wanna Be Valentinos!
I have a few mates who ride Harleys. Fanging up a twisty mountain road is just NOT THEIR THING! The same as cruising down to Williamstown for a coffee Sat Morning is NOT MY THING!
The only criticism I have of the Born again Harley Rider is the lack of solidarity the bike community usually shows to each other! As mentioned in a previous thread, when out there touring, I will always commence with a wave, if it is returned (rarely for a Harley rider However) it remains friendly, if it is not returned, the middle finger rises into the universal salute!!!
Maybe reliable motorcycles is the cause of the lack of solidarity in bikes nowadays!!!

Re: Everyone loves a fatboy
I don't rate the Harley, nor the wankers that make them sooo damn loud you can't hear yourself think.
I wouldn't piss on a HD if it were on fire, in fact I'd add some fuel and dance around it naked to encourage the burning.
I'd take a 4 cylinder Jap bike (any make, even Honda) that would blow the wheels off a HD anyday.
When I had my 05 ZX10, I found more humans, both male and female paid more attention to the Green Machine than any HD that I parked next to. Maybe because these HD's are all show, and no go......
