u have to haggle with em on freight tho- the set freight price of abt 20 pounds is a bit high.. i emailed em, and i think i paid 10or 12 pounds... as i said, it was still cheaper than buying here.... and a HUGE range of bars!!
I'll get some photos up once the bike is clean (so don't hold your breath...).
Yes, that was me contributing to the suspension debate on ninja650.com, a useful website for ER6 riders, especially when trying to source parts from overseas. I can vouch for both the stores which feature heavily there.
Possum, the plan is to race the bike next year in the Twinsprints class in NSW, though a potential move to QLD might knock that on the head. In an ideal world, I'd like to try a Versys as a road touring bike; it's not that I'm a die-hard Kawasaki afficionado (the ER6 is my first Kwak), but I do like the upright position and intent of the Versys, and a 650 twin gives me all the oomph I need in a country where the speed limits are draconian, driving standards appalling and the road surfaces crap (I'm a Pom by birth and spent a lot of time riding all over Europe, God I miss that).
I am surprised to see so few ER6s around, I suppose it could be compromised by its image, something that the SV650 has managed to overcome (largely by being another bloody good bike). Each to their own....
Great post with loads of cool info its great to see the er6n starting to get a following
i recon its a great little bike.
Can you tell me where you got the bars from? was it the ninja650shop?

I've spent over 40 years of my life riding bikes .... the rest of it, I wasted ..
If it's got wheels or tits, it's gonna give you trouble !

I didn't import the bars, as a generic item, there are loads available locally, at a reasonable price. The Ventura bars came from Motorcycle Accessories Warehouse in Castle Hill, Sydney, an outfit I can recommend for discounted parts and for their excellent workshop.
