Nice work Mick. I might use your muffler hanger as inspiration for one for my tracky. It seems wrong to have a nice neat muffler hanger on my road bike and a pillion-peg hanger on the tracky, but I CBF paying much for "bling" for the tracky.

Cheers guys. I basically made them for that reason Dave, I didn't want to spend much on them but thought they'd be good for the trackday. They'll come back off again afterwards and who knows if and when they'll be used again.

The mirror block-offs were from some left-over aluminium strip I had and cutout with a jigsaw, drilled, filed and polished. The hanger is from some steel I got down at Bunnings, welded, swore, rewelded, swore, cutoff, rewelded, swore, angle grinded, filed. dremelled and finally painted. The bolt still needs tidying up.

...probably about $10-$15 in materials all up, plus plenty of swearing ;)

and those blank-off plates look good...........not as classy as the 'Wasteland' checkerplate jobbies, but nothing is as classy as checkerplate really .......

Well the wasteland block off plates were my inspiration ;) ....and I might just see how the hanger holds up after a test ride before I even attempt another one

keep your standard hanger in the boot......I did knock up a nice 'plate' hanger last year for the 12, but its not quite long enough for the current set-up.......I like the look of yours, thats almost *exactly* the same style as the hangers made by Dino in the US - ( the same Dino who made the seat-hinges a few of us got for the barges back in 2005) - his 'zorst hangers were made from titanium  ......

Nice work Mick...

the gixxer 01 - 04 hangers work on 7's and 12's with aftermarket pipes, they are cheap and solid..may fit the 10 ?

Buy one? That would defeat the purpose mate ;)

....plan B was to cut one out of some aluminium to get something that looks like the one you've got there...we'll see if I need to 8)

...and yeah Gos, I was definitely bringing the spare up
