worst day ever :(

Post by maccas »

So i went to newcastle on my pushbike to look for my friend shane 'cause he had run away and i coodnt find a single sight of him, so i went to his sisters house to see if shes heard from him and i get to this road i have to cross where you can barely see if theres a car coming from the right hand side, i glance right then glance left it all looks clear so i pedal fast then glance to my right again and there's a station wagon like a metre away so i give the pedals a HUGE thrust to get out of its path and i think im all safe then BANG! the car hits the back of the bik and sends the bike flying out from underneath me and i go flying through the air and land on the other side of the dam road! i get up with blood dripping off my arm and the chick driver gets out screaming "OMG OMG OMG OMG ARE YOU OK! ARGHH!" And im jsut like "im fine im fine" i was worried i had damaged her car and she would make me pay for it so i just got up grabbed my bike and rode off as fast as i could down the street, i get to the end and realise my whole left side of my body is in SERIOUS pain i get off my bike and sit on the side of the road looking at what i've done i have a seriously painful shoulder, knee's fucked elbows badly scraped etc etc but i have to get home so i end up on a train and had to ride for about 2 hours in heaps of pain 'til i finally got home...

The thing thats got me most shook up is the fact that if she had hit me like a split second earlier i could have been killed  , or if a car was coming the other way... I dont think im gonna be able to leave the house for a few days  the whole way home every car i went past scared the crap outta me.

Horrible horrible day, worst thing is i didn't find my missing friend

But the problem was i didn't look properly to cross the road, the people around were syaing to the girl she was not at fault at all and yeah, i guess i just got scared.

......

As for the injuries im pretty sure i've damaged some tissue in my shoulder but luckily apart from that its just scratches and bruises. PRETTY DAM PAINFUL SCRATCHES AND BRUISES, but still they should hopefully heal soon.

Bugger :(

Hope you are feeling well again soon.

Look on the bright side- your day could have very nearly been a hell of a lot worse!

Mmm, what did they used to teach us? Look to the right, Look to the left, then look to the right again, BEFORE YOU CROSS THE ROAD. Seriously though, sorry it happened and I hope you mend quickly.

get yourself checked out at a hossy, ffs the only reason reddave went in was he thought he had a stuffed shoulder, turns out he had a broken rib & a collapsed lung or something.

i kno a guy who staggered onto the road pissed, and got hit by a car...and got abt $50k in damages..and it was his own fault.... even tho u are maybe to blame, drivers who run into pedestrians/cyclists get in the shit cos they should of looked...

All the best for a speedy recovery. You need to look after yourself so take it easy.- and definately get checked out by a doctor! Your friend will show up when he's ready for your help / to talk.

Hope he realises what a g8 mate you are.

Cheers
