Ah thanks for that Dave .
The excesive smoke is only cos of assembly oil and the first run after having the barrels off and some work of the pipes . Use Castrol 747 which is a synthetic with a touch of castor oil .
Smells nice too :D

Ooooh, lovely. I wish I had picked up a KR-1 rather than the TZR, but it was cheap and fast two strokes aren't that common. My TZR is almost back in action and hopefully will be on a racetrack in the near future (I would have to ride there and back though :( )

And thats where they are staying  ..................... until I can rebuild a motor

Have ordered crank seals from England and should start pulling a motor apart soon . Will get Martin from Hyside Trading to pull a crank apart and get new bearings and hope that the crank is OK .
After that will get a set a barells replated and whack a set of forged pistons in . Might even have a crack at flowing the cases , then should be ready to attack the interclub series for next year .
All of a sudden the cheap little KR is looking a bit exxcey !

All this gear was found lurking about a dark corner of a wreckers yesterday.
I told it I knew of the mythical place that old KR's go to be loved again and so Like the Pied Piper I am leading it to "The Great Garage in Bendigo" where the messiah shall determine its worthiness.

Better get Slow and Wobbly on the case
Try emailing Martin at Hyside Trading .. hyside@austarnet.com.au" target="_blank if you want some bits for a rebuild
He is a bit of a trader and scrounger and has lots of Pommy contacts . He talks a bit like Rossi
He has a 350 LC that he drags out to Broady so he might have a few clues .
