Hi i just bought my zxr250
i just put in a new battery everything else seems to be quite good, i was just wondering why occasionally when i clutch it in and down shift the engine cuts out? i am going slower speeds like lets say about 50 km/h then i clutch in slow down and down shift then near 20 to 10 km/h it just cuts out? it has happened twice so far, the first time it started right back up , the second i had to wait about 1 minute for it to start.
I just read up that my idle could be set too low, so tomorrow i am going to turn it up and hope that fixes it. but any ideas if it doesn't work guys?
and also what position should the fuel that be when the bike is off? should it be left on the "on" position or the reserve?
Cheers look forward to your help guys
Danny

I'm a newbie too but I assume you should keep it in the 'on' position...only time you should have it in 'reserve' is when you've run outta fuel.icemannn wrote:what position should the fuel that be when the bike is off? should it be left on the "on" position or the reserve?
