please see image at top of page.....
My primary choice of bike when buying my new one would have been the Sprint ST, i love the leg angle, the sound and the general feel of the bike. But after test riding the Z750 i bought it instead as i couldn't justify the extra price, service costs, fuel ect.
The sprint is a beautiful bike, as would be the triple (naked). But if you are going new, you owe it to yourself to try the Z range as well.
Then it all comes down to money and how much you are prepared to pay

Re: Speed Triples 05 onwards
The 1050 Speed Triple has won a lot of Naked bike shoot outs in magazines, generally it's just good kit for it's asking price, even beat the KTM superduke in Superbikes' test,it is a wheelie monster too with the shorter wheel base so they recommend checking headstock on 2nd hand models but is a well built machine.

And being a Triupmh it will come with an oil leak standard, not an optional extra

The same mate of mine who is a BMW mechanic and who advised me not to buy the BMW
Also works on Triumphs and Suzukis! He says while the engine internals are solid, it's the bits around that which fall apart!!!
He also says they are a pain in the arse to work on, thus, they charge a bit more! I must admit though, they are a good looking jigger!
