Some more bling mods to the Zed

Post by bassmaniac69 »

Well, I finally had time to wash and preen the beast last weekend as it was a long weekend here in Canberra and thought I would take some snaps and post them up.

I have a lot more bits waiting to go on when I get the chance - too busy riding to get them on! :)

In no particular order:

Rizoma Zero LED indicators front and rear - brightest indicators I've ever seen!

44 tooth rear Vortex sprocket (from Matt here on KSRC who sold his Zed) along with a 15 front and RK gold chain - really boogies down low:

Image

Image

All silver panels have been blacked out - not the best job from a mate but will do until I can afford the real carbon bits:

Image

Also the rear sets, triangle bits (what the hell are they called??) and plate holder all powder coated black

And just a few posing shots with all the other bits and pieces just for the hell of it!!

More bits to come soon I hope, I gotta beat Neka to stage 3!!!

In the flesh, this is one of the best Thou's getting around, all the mods are really tasty, and good colour-cordination with the black/red combination.

Great work BM69

I better take some shots of the MFP12, it has had a recent blingectomy as well !!

They are ABM bars and they make it feel like a dirt bike mate! They are very wide but they feel comfy - not too wide so you don't have control, but enough to make the turn in really nice. I've ridden a stock unit and they felt high and narrow compared to my bike's bar.

They are ABM model #ZRT00A and the gold matches the calipers really well. Highly recommended!

Now mate, why don;t you tell us how you really feel - don;t hold back!!! ;)

So what are you doing now? Still on the carbon bits? I will get em all done eventually but as usual cash is a problem at the moment. My issue is that I have a bike hobby and a massive music gear hobby as well, so I have to split the two funds wise!! That said, if I sold all my basses I could have the Zed supercharged, painted, fully blinged and still have enough for another zed...where's my priorities???

As for the black rearsets etc, it took about 1/2 hour to remove all the bits and a day to get them powder coated - $60 all up to get the bits done, cheapest mod so far!!

Well thanks mate, I'll pay you later!! I have some more red bits to go on as well.

Guess I should ask - do you guys reckon black or gold engine bolts? I was angling towards the black as I eventually wanted to get the white crash pucks in black as well to make the engine more blacker (is there such a word?) but don't mind the gold either.....

stay with black engine bolts. If you go overboard with gold bits on a black motor, it could look a bit too much.

Black is Good !
