I was with them for the ZZR600.
Cheap and they paid out quick when it was written off.

They haven't answered any of my queries for quotes since tho ;)

I think they'll only insure weekend riders now - they took anyone when I was with them.

Personally I'd stay.
Over a year that's not a lot of difference, and if you're getting other benefits...

I had Arista cover but hadn't made a claim with them. I believe most companies will sell you a Guaranteed life time rating one for about an extra $100 a year ?.

I recently had to make a claim with Arista and although they were fine about paying out etc. I had to chase them every step of the way on paperwork, they were hopeless. If I hadn't called every couple days my claim would've just sat there in a pile while my bike rusted away. After 7 weeks they finally gave the repairer the go-ahead to commence repairs and ta-da 3 days later I had my bike back.

Hmmmm nope. Got myself something new.....

An '07 R6 (PLEASE don't hate me guys!!!! I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it!!!) Would've posted up pics straight away but.................... I came off on a diesel spill on my first ride. Two riders had already come off 15 minutes before so police/ambulance/towies etc were already there. Cars in front came over a rise, saw the commotion and slammed their brakes on at 100kph. Had nowhere to go because there was a car in the oncoming lane. Fishtailed 3 times that I remember, trying desperately to hold it, then the fourth time the rear swung back it got some grip and slammed me down on my back on the left side. Big chunk of rubber out of the rear tyre. Was unconscious for 20 minutes. I don't remember the next three hours, but when I came too apparently all I was asking was "Where's Randy?" "Is Randy ok?" "Can someone go see what's happened to Randy". My friend was in the car in front I was following and was trying to explain over and over that I didn't have Randy anymore, I had a new bike (now appropriately named Diesel) and I just wouldn't hear it. I was insisting I'd never ride another bike except Randy... How faithful is my subconscious??! lol

Because I was just trying to get some k's on the clock and run it in without revving over 8000rpm I got off pretty lightly. I had my full gear on and it's amazing how little damaged they were. I broke my right wrist and 3 fingers, broken left thumb, and haematoma on left thigh which had to be drained a few weeks later. My right hand looked like a purple bloated mess for a few weeks but the glove it was in hardly has a scratch on the knuckle protectors. Can't say enough for wearing all the gear on rides. I'm lucky.

Finally got the bike back the other weekend and have been on a few rides since. I have this paranoia now that cars are going to brake suddenly in front of me.... It's not fun, so I'm hoping it will pass after a while back on the bike.

thats a bugger about dropping the new bike on its first ride  , but I am glad to hear you are OK and not too badly hurt. Says a lot about wearing the right gear......

So the coppers and ambo's had already been there for 15 minutes, and hadn't done anything about posting a Warning sign of some sort before the diesel spill and associated carnage ????? Thats a bit slack !!! All they needed to do was park a mobile unit at the top of the rise with the lights flashing, that would slow everyone down, and not take much in the way of resources !!!
