Post by QLDZX6R »

English Magazine SUPERBIKE has just turned 30 and in their birthday edition named the best bike of each of the last 4 decades and the best riders

and the winners are;
1970's: KAWASAKI Z1
1980's: KAWASAKI GPz900R
1990's: DUCATI 748
2000's: SUZUKI GSX-R 1000

Rider from each decade;
1970's: Barry Sheene
1980's: Eddie Lawson
1990's: Mick Doohan
2000's: Casey Stoner :shock: no sorry, Valentino Rossi

Sure to open some debate,shame Kawasaki only got 2 of the best 4 :lol:

What, did they need a bigger tug boat?

Great to see Kwak so high in those lists. Can't see how they can vote on this decade, it's got more years to run yet.

And What about Wayne Gardener?

Ah, there can be only one from each decade and Eddie did take 4 titles in a tough era and rode Yamaha and Honda...and later Cagiva.
Wayne probably put them off by his performances in the V8's :lol:

I'll see your Large Marooned Vessels, and raise you a "See You On The Track girlfriend" !!! :lol: :lol:

bah humbuh hyper-tourers blah blah grrrrrr :x

OH and *no* surprises in those lists, the poms have always had a stiffy for the BIg Zed (and who can blame them love4.gif love5.gif love7.gif ) - and the GpZ900 was at the very cutting edge of all sportsbike design from 1984 onwards.

:D
