I know it sounds groce but what about riding over road kill. I've done that once and almost lost it.

Killed the roo, only damage to my bike was a splatter of blood on the brakes and forks...woohoo
I have no idea how I managed to stay upright, but my mate who was riding behind me says my bike went airborne. Almost dropped it in my rush to stop on gravel at the side of the road.
Went back the next day to check the scene, and gave the roo a kick for good measure.
I think somebody was looking after me that night !"
I've come close to hitting things but never actually hit yet. It sounds harsh but if you're ever thinking you're going to hit an animal DON'T DODGE - often they balk at the last minute and there's no problem, but if you dodge chances are high you'll come off either because you're automatically focussing on the dumb animal, or the animal has changed direction and you've hit it with the bike at an angle/off balance. If you're going to hit, best hit it square on.SilverFox wrote:I know it sounds groce but what about riding over road kill. I've done that once and almost lost it.
